A HEARTBROKEN mum has revealed the funeral details for her only son, who tragically fell six storeys from a balcony in Spain.

Lucas Briscoe, aged 12, died in the tragic accident while on holiday with his mum, Nicola Marshall, from Lostock Gralam.

And the family are inviting friends and family members to celebrate his life with a funeral service to be held at St Vincent De Paul Church in Knutsford.

Lucas’ dad, Gary Briscoe, flew out from his home in Tytherinton to be with his son and both parents have now returned to the UK with his body.

Nicola said: “We have been inundated and overwhelmed with the love and support of family, friends and strangers who have helped us to cope day-by-day.

“The funeral will be held at 10am on Friday at St Vincent’s and I’m sure that the church will be overflowing with people, because so many were brimming with love for Lucas.

“He was a beautiful boy with so many incredible traits – he was kind, warm, caring, considerate, hugely loving and great fun.

“He was special and we know he was put on this planet for a reason.

“We want to make sure that his spirit and legacy lives on, so we are setting up a charity in his memory so that he is never forgotten and will be around us forever.

“It will be called Lucas’s Share and Care Foundation – a fitting tribute to our young man who was generous, good-natured and always a friend for those in need, as he loved nothing more than to make people smile.

“Gary and I hope his nature will live on in this charity and we ‘re asking that instead of sending flowers, people make a donation in memory of Lucas.”
