TWO light industrial units are set to be built on land off Manchester Road after plans were approved by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The 469 square metre site is positioned to the rear of a former car sale garage, which closed in January and since been demolished.

Enterprise car rental service will occupy the main area of this land, directly on Manchester Road, after it was granted permission to move there from Station Road.

The plot for the units sits to the rear of this development, off Austin Street, and was most recently used as storage space for cars and car parts within a steel container.

Plans by developer Foden Estates Ltd show that the two units will be single storey in size, with roller shutters and a personnel door to the front.

Each unit will measure 63 square metres, have an open plan layout and contain a single disabled toilet to the rear.

The development will make use of the existing entrance at the end of Austin Street and vehicles will be able to park on site.

No provisions have been made to support HGV access and work must commence on the site within three years.
