PLANS have been submitted to build 16 apartments on the site of a former Church in Winnington.
At this stage, only outline permission is being sought for land off Dyar Terrace, which was formerly occupied by St Luke’s Church until July 2015.
The proposals for the 0.3 hectare site would see the construction of a range of one and two bedroom apartments, each of between two and three storeys.
New vehicular and pedestrian access would be created directly off Winnington Lane as well as 20 car parking spaces.
According to property developer Fisher German LLP, the proposal would provide ‘beneficial’ housing on vacant land in a ‘highly accessible and sustainable’ location.
It also adds that prior to the application, consultations were held with local residents on Dyar Terrace in February and July, as well as a presentation being delivered to Northwich Town Council in May.
Fisher German LLP say the meetings proved to be ‘extremely helpful’, and that the views of local residents have been incorporated into the final design of the scheme.
