SUMMER isn’t near even to being a distant memory, but that shouldn’t stop Northwich fitness fans who love a challenge from planning ahead.
Details of UK Athletics' Northwich Boxing Day 5k have just been announced, and runners are encouraged to sign up to this flat and fast chip-timed course around Neumann’s Flash on December 26.
The two-lap race, which will start and end on Marbury Lane, is perfect for all runners -from regulars chasing personal bests to novices looking to blow away those festive cobwebs
All finishers will receive a Christmas-themed medal as well as seasonal refreshments at the finish line.
There are cash prizes for first, second and third open male and female runners, plus prizes for the first-place masters athlete in all age categories.
Entry is £13 and £11 for UK Athletics members. Entries on the day, if available, will be an additional £2. Entrants must be 13 or over on race day.
