A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital this morning following a crash at the Davenham Roundabout on the A533.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 6am this morning, after receiving reports of a crash involving a motorbike and no other vehicle.
Police were on hand to help guide traffic away from the accident while firefighters put out the fire on the motorbike, which had ignited following the crash.
Paramedics took the motorcyclist, a man in 30s, to Leighton Hospital. His injuries are said to be 'not serious'.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: "Firefighters attended a collision involving a motorbike on the A553 in Northwich. Crews used a hose reel to put out a fire involving the motorbike while paramedics assessed the casualty.

"Police were in attendance and the road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene."
