A GROUP of Northwich organisations have come together to provide summer fun for children and families.

Activities will include games nd sports instruction in Northwich parks, pond-dipping and bug-hunting and free play at Grozone Community Garden, family fun fit sessions including hula hooping, football, dance and boxing at the Venue in Rudheath, and storytelling, exercise, craft and junk modelling at St Helen’s Church.

Healthy lunches for children will be provided, and there will be opportunities for families to try cooking, preparing and tasting fresh, seasonal food.

Barbara Moth, from St Helen’s Church, said: “Rudheath and Witton Together, Northwich Town Council, Growzone and St Helen’s Church are delighted to have received a grant from the Welcome Network, Cheshire West Voluntary Action and Cheshire West and Chester Council to support the summer fun programme.”

Free activities at St Helen’s, RWT and Grozone run from 10am to 2pm, and Vickersway Park from 10am to 4pm.

Coach trips cost £4 and must be booked in advance, running from 10am to 5pm. Call Heidi 07788 340957.
