THE Entertainer toy store at Barons Quay is set to expand after a positive start to life in Northwich.

The shop, near Asda, will increase in size by 25 per cent in the coming months, following successful trading figures since opening in November 2018.

Welcoming thousands of families to its store and almost doubling its expected sales targets has triggered The Entertainer to create a bigger outlet for its range of high-quality toys and games.

Andrew Milner-Walker, head of property at The Entertainer said: “We plan to complete the works by end of August.

"Due to the success of the store and in discussion with Cheshire West and Chester Council we are taking an additional 700sq ft to provide better range and service for the customer.”

CWAC cabinet member for regeneration and growth, Cllr Richard Beacham, said: “We’re delighted that The Entertainer is experiencing such high volumes of sales which show that families still want to shop on their local high street.

“This news comes at a time when there are another seven shop units currently under offer nearby, meaning we are likely to see some more exciting announcements over the coming months too.”
