STAFF at Chapelford Sainsbury's went above and beyond to celebrate a loyal customer's 90th birthday.
Terry Mac (McDermott) visits the store each week to buy items for his tea dance that he still runs every Tuesday.
He was surprised with a 90th birthday cake on Saturday and had his picture taken with staff - loving every minute.
His daughter Sarah said: "Anyone that knows Terry will know that his whole life he has gone out of his way to help people.
"Years ago it was trips to the seaside and presents for kids that couldn’t afford it and he spent many years holding fundraising dances for people less fortunate than himself and the elderly.
"It was just lovely for him to be made to feel so special.
"All of the family would just like to say a huge thank you to the ladies, particularly Wendy and Donna, who wished him well, it was so very kind."
Terry, who is a dad-of-four, ran a garage at Bridge Foot called Macs Motors and Macs Taxis until he retired, which were his dad's before.
He was married to Jean McDermott until November 2011 when she sadly passed away.
Jean and Terry ran many dances over the years for charities and they ran weekly dances and taught many people.

Terry still runs their weekly tea dance with the help of his friend Pat Ellison and her daughter.
His tea dancers had also surprised him with a surprise cake and gift the week before his birthday.
Sarah added: "I just thought it was a lovely thing of them to do and if anyone deserves it then my dad does.
"He has always done so much to help people whenever he could, and still does even at 90."
