VISITORS were fascinated to discover so much fresh fruit and vegetables being grown by enthusiasts.
Plot holders welcomed families to Winsford's Over Allotments at an annual open day on Saturday.
Mike Allen, chairman of Over Allotments Association, said: "It went very well. Everyone who came really enjoyed it."
Primary schoolchildren who had created space age scarecrows to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing were rewarded with prizes.

St Chad's came first, Willow Wood were runners-up and Oak View came third.
The mayor of Winsford Cllr Ailsa Gaskill-Jones presented the mayor's shield to the winner and gardening tokens to representatives from the three schools.
Plot holders also received a selection of awards.
The Dempster Challenge Cup for the best plot was presented to Jim and Yvonne Kettle, who also won first prize in the best large plot category.

Refreshments, barbecued food, plants, cakes and jams were on sale.

Face painting and candyfloss was provided by Winsford Academy Camp Kenya team.
The 60 plots at Moss Bank allotments are owned by Winsford Town Council and there is a long waiting list.
