VISITORS flocked to the banks of the Weaver and Dane to celebrate this year's Northwich River Festival.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Northwich in aid of Cheshire Without Abuse and other Rotary causes, the event saw the town centre buzz with activity on Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14.
The weekend was supported by The Canal and River Trust, Barons Quay, the River Weaver Navigation Society, Northwich Town Council, Northwich BID and Cheshire West and Chester Council.
As well as Dragon Boat and raft racing on the River Weaver, and the famous Ducks on the Dane, activity on the town's rivers also included boat trips, paddleboarding and rescue displays.
At Barons Quay, there was food, drink and family fun on offer.
Mike Amesbury, MP for Weaver Vale, was among those enjoying the celebrations.
He said: “This is an event I look forward to every year as it really shows the town in such a fantastic light and has people travelling from far and wide to enjoy what is always a brilliant weekend of events, as well as raising vital funds for some extremely worthwhile causes.
“A very well done to the Rotary Club for organising this brilliant annual celebration and well done to everyone involved in making it such a huge success once again."
