FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue two people who had fallen down an embankment in Woodlands Grove at 10.27pm on Wednesday.
One fire engine attended along with the rope rescue unit from Lymm and a boat from Warrington.
A spokesperson for the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two casualties were at the bottom of the embankment and could not get back up.
“A firefighter and rope rescue officer using safety equipment descended the embankment to assess them. The rescue boat was then launched rescue the casualties.
“The casualties were then assessed by paramedics at the scene but it is believed they did not need hospital treatment.”
