POLICE are appealing for information after a man was believed to have been attacked with a crowbar in a suspected aggravated burglary in Ellesmere Port.

The incident was reported to officers at 10.27pm on July 7, when police were called to a flat in Rivacre Road in Ellesmere Port following reports of an aggravated burglary.

A 40-year-old man was injured with what is thought to have been a crowbar and was taken to hospital to be treated.

Two men were seen running from the scene.

Police have been at the scene on Monday, July 8, investigating the circumstances.
