NORTHWICH Festival of Arts in underway, with events taking place across town through July.

As well as continual galleries and exhibitions open every day, individual events will run across all four weekends.

The Northwich Business Improvement District (BID) is leading the festival, with support from Northwich Art Shop, Visual Arts Cheshire (VAC) and Obeid Galleries.

Among the month-long exhibitions to enjoy are ‘Radiate Arts’ at Obeid – above Abda – where carved salt block will be on show from Saturday July 6.

The VAC Art Trail involves traders throughout the town centre, who will be showcasing artists’ work in their windows.

Leaflets are available from Northwich Art Shop and the VAC gallery, which is based at Barons Quay, next door to the Odeon and opposite Wildwood.

There, you can enjoy a comprehensive gallery.

Meanwhile, Brigitte Watkinson’s ‘Talking Trees’ will see 15 watercolours placed around town, and Express Arts workshops will take place each Saturday at Northwich Library.

Northwich Art Shop will again take over Memorial Court for the popular Grand Day Out event on July 27.

Events including Northwich Carnival, Scooter Day, River Festival, Artisan Market will also see arty twists.
