THE Blue Cap Ale Festival is returning to Sandiway next month and there promises to be something for everyone there.

The festival takes place from Thursday, July 25 to Sunday, July 28.

Ken Bebb, organiser said: “It should be a good weekend. We have 10 beers from 10 different counties and two ciders.”

“Last year we had 20 ales on sale but on a fairly small bar that proved quite difficult.”

As well as a selection of beers, Ken has organised live music performances on Friday and Saturday.

Ken said: “On Friday Irwell will be playing in the evening and Montage will perform on Saturday evening."

Ken has also arranged for a number of traders to have their own stalls during the festival.

He said: “We have a stall selling belt buckles, one selling jam and we will also have face painting available on the Sunday.

"I've also organised a small marquee so people can sit outdoors and there will be some garden games going on as well."

Last year’s event was the inaugural festival at the pub and Ken revealed this year has been a lot less stressful.

He said: “I only had a couple of months to get everything organised last time whereas this time almost everything is done so I’m really looking forward to it.”

The festival opens on Thursday at 8pm and the festival is open from midday until 11pm through the weekend.
