VOLUNTEERS are giving the Town Park a spring clean.
Friends of Winsford Town Park will be doing light weeding in the prairie area around the eight Salt Stacks, which has annual weed coming through.
This area is planted with ornamental grasses, purple loosestrife, and asters which seem to be growing well.
John Malam, the group's chairman said: "If time allows, and if enough volunteers come along, we may also be able to do some general tidying up in other areas of Town Park – litter picking, weeding, sweeping of paths, and continuing to remove fallen branches and dead wood from the woodland area"
Volunteers will be in the park from 10.30am until 3pm tomorrow, Wednesday, June 19.
No equipment is needed.

Anyone is welcome to help.
Volunteers meet at the viewing platform near Dingle Lane and are asked to wear appropriate clothing, gloves and footwear.
