A HIGH Street business is celebrating a year of growth both within its community and its industry.

Ubuntu Wealth Management – located next The Salty Dog – has within the last 12 months expanded its team, sponsored the Swimathon and seen its principal reach the highest standards in financial advice.

The company provides financial wealth management, retirement planning and pension reviews, investment advice, life insurance, later-life planning, estate planning, and inheritance tax management.

Its principal, Garnet Ronander, said: "The company is going from strength to strength with an increasing clientele in the north west due to the high quality of advice and outstanding personal service that we provide.

"As such we have added Kathleen Brough to our team as a paraplanner, Monica Hope as an office and accounts administrator, and Ryan Guthrie as a financial advisor.

"I’m really proud of the team we’ve got here."

Garnet was also 'extremely proud' to be named a fellow of the Professional Finance Society – a title held only by around six per cent of financial advisors in the UK.

Away from developments within the company, Ubuntu Wealth supported the Northwich Rotary Club Swimathon in March.

“This year Ubuntu sponsored the Northwich Swimathon which takes place annually with the aim of raising money for good causes and charities,” said Garnet.

"Our company logo reflects our motto in that we believe in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity.

“When it comes to charity and being part of a community the spirit of Ubuntu is ever present as we believe that working together as a team can improve our communities and help create the world as we would like it to be. We’re delighted to be involved in an initiative like this because it benefits so many people.”

Garnet has also backed the Northwich BID for a second term – for which voting is now open among businesses – after benefitting from training, courses, and an improved town centre environment.
