A MARTIAL Arts club in Middlewich is offering free classes as part of International Men’s Health Week.
The free sessions are available this week and next week from Evade Cheshire Martial Arts.
Martin McDonnell, coach, said: “I teach in Middlewich and Glossop, and we are always looking for different promotions that we can offer people.
“With it being Men’s International Health Week this week and Father’s Day at the weekend we thought we would offer some free martial arts classes because martial arts isn’t just about physical health but mental health as well.”
The group operates on Tuesdays in the United Reformed Church, in St Ann’s Road, and in the Wych Centre, in Civic Way, on Fridays.
Martin has been teaching Middlewich for two years.
He said: “It was quite a slow start. At first I only taught three kids but things have definitely picked up since then.
“The free classes are open to anyone who gets in touch. Children’s classes are for the ages of five to 13 and the adult classes are 14 plus.
"We've had some interest already on Facebook. We posted a status about the classes and asked people to tag their friends so we have had a few people get in touch about it."
