POLICE are now appealing for dash cam footage to help with their investigations into reports of a man carrying a large knife on the street in Weaverham last week.
Villagers were shocked on Monday last week, May 20, when armed police patrolled the Weaverham area.
Police had received reports of an 'altercation' involving three men in the area of the Northwich Road shops - one of the men was seen carrying a large knife.
Armed police were deployed to the area and carried out a thorough search, but the man was not found.
Now, police are asking motorists with dash cams, who may have been driving in the area on that night, to get in touch to help them with their investigation.
