SIXTIES greats The Merseybeats will take the stage at Memorial Court in June.

Relate Cheshire and Merseyside, a charity offering counselling services for families and young people, is putting on the ‘60s nostalgia concert on Friday, June 7 at 7.30pm.

The gig will be headlined by The Merseybeats, supported by The Swinging Blue Jeans – two legendary Liverpool bands who have each been performing to audiences for more than 50 years.

They rubbed shoulders with the Beatles during the golden age of ‘60s Merseyside music, and made a name for themselves at the iconic Cavern Club.

Northwich's now-demolished Memorial Hall – affectionately known as 'The Morg' – was also a frequent destination throughout the decade.

Much-loved classics including Sorrow and I Think of You from The Merseybeats, as well as The Hippy Hippy Shake and Good Golly Miss Molly from The Swinging Blue Jeans, will get feet tapping at the Northwich venue.

All proceeds will go to Relate, of which Merseybeats frontman Tony Crane MBE is a patron.

Tickets for the show are £23.50
