FIREFIGHTERS had to cut away a section of scorched roof after a fire at a Norley home on Saturday evening.

Crews from Northwich and Winsford were called to Fingerpost Lane at 7.41pm to reports of a roof fire.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said all occupants were accounted for.

They added: "Crews used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to put out the fire.

They then used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots, and cut away the affected area."
