A MAN has been arrested and charged after allegedly throwing paving slabs at police officers in Orford.

Cheshire Police were called to Sandalwood Close at around 2am on Sunday, May 12, after reports of a disturbance at a house.

Officers arrested a 29-year-old woman from Warrington at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

She has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

But a man was also arrested on suspicion of affray, having alleged made threats towards police and thrown paving slabs at officers.

And 30-year-old David Donlan, of Sandalwood Close, has since been charged with affray, two counts of assaulting an emergency services worker and criminal damage in relation to the incident.

He was due to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court to face these charges yesterday, Monday.
