SANDIWAY Primary School taught children a life lesson by staging a mock wedding and baptism ceremony.
Year one pupils from the Weaverham Road school took part in the celebratory events at St John the Evangelist CE Church to learn about the two ceremonial traditions.
Sharon Tucker, higher level teaching assistant at the school, said: “As part of the religious education curriculum they’ve been learning about marriage and baptism as part of the Christian faith.
“Some of the children have never been in a church before so it was a wonderful opportunity for them to see what the building looks like and learn about what these ceremonies mean in the Christian faith.
“A great day was had by all.”
