TRAINS on the West Coast Mainline will be affected across the two May Bank Holidays, as work continues to prepare London Euston for HS2.
Euston will be closed between Saturday, May 4 and Monday, May 6 for ‘must-do’ work on power supplies, concourse space and platform capacity ahead of the introduction of high speed rail.
Network Rail advises that the best time to travel is May 3 or May 7, with engineering work taking place between London and Milton Keynes.
Then, on the second May Bank Holiday, from Saturday, May 25 to Monday, May 27, work to renew the track at at Acton Bridge station will take place.
As reported in the Guardian last week, new direct services from Acton Bridge and Hartford to Euston start later in May.
Passengers are advised to check before they travel.
