KINGSLEY St John’s Primary School has been hailed as an ‘oasis of hope’ in a beaming Church of England inspection report.

Inspectors for the SIAMs – the Statutory inspections for Anglican and Methodist schools – said the school’s ‘Christian vision is evident’ across all departments, leading to a supportive environment with strong leadership.

The report said: “Kingsley Saint John’s is an oasis of hope to its pupils, staff and community due to the inspirational leadership of its head teacher and her team.

“The school enables pupils, many of whom have vulnerabilities or SEND issues, to flourish by applying its Christian vision to believe in the light as revealed in loving, learning, aspiring and achieving.

“This expresses itself through the promotion of the wellbeing of pupils and staff in a supportive atmosphere where everyone seeks to care for one another.

“An example of this is one pupil being cold and another volunteering to give her cardigan up to help.”

Kingsley St John’s is made up of 79 children, and was rated on effectiveness, leadership, impact of collective worship and effectiveness of religious education.

Headteacher Rachel Jones said: “We are incredibly proud of our school and the wonderful pupils who learn with us.”
