STAFF at children’s charity the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust are full of the joys of spring after a very seasonal few weeks at their site just outside of Lymm.

The arrival of new lambs Daffodil and Shaun heralded the start of the season at the Millington-based farm after they were donated by farmers Sue and Steve Jennings.

They are being bottle fed by the visiting children.

The charity then collected a phenomenal 1,218 Easter Eggs through its Easter Egg Appeal, receiving donations from companies and individuals including Lymm Jubilee WI.

Carol Robinson, from the group, is a regular volunteer for the charity and delivered 58 eggs which were gratefully received by community fundraiser Rob Bashforth.

Helen Crowther, from CAFT, said: “The sweet treats collected through the appeal were given to the children visiting the adventure farm as well as being distributed to local groups and families who were delighted to receive them.

“We really can’t thank everyone who has donated enough, you’re all amazing.”

And finally this weekend saw the Bunny Hop 2019 which saw children hunting for eggs around Knutsford.

CAFT’s charity shop Manager, Catherine, was kept busy with more than 200 children hopping in to say hello! Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe Knutsford raised an impressive £100 face painting in aid of CAFT!

Helen continues: “Wow, what a fantastic few weeks we’ve had! So many wonderful donations and acts of kindness which will help us to continue to bring fun, love and laughter into the lives of the wonderful children who will visit us at the adventure farm this year.”
