KNUTSFORD’s retailers have been thanked for their support for Saturday’s memorable sixth Bunny Hop.
Residents, visitors, shops, businesses and restaurants got into the spirit of the popular event by dressing up, spotting the bunnies, face painting and enjoying the chocolate goodies on offer.
Sandra Curties, town centre manager said: “So many shops were involved this year; firm fixtures such as Diamond Nails, Pulse of Perfumery, Pizza Express and Clarity, as well as first timers such as Piccolino’s, Fat Face and Daffern’s by Adler and Allan.
“It is extremely rewarding to see the whole community being involved and the little ones enjoying themselves.
“We would like to thank everyone, especially event sponsors Mr Simms, Mere Day Nursery, Bella Marketing and Design and Little Waitrose and Knutsford Heritage Centre for being the event’s post box.”
Mere Day Nursery had a little stand offering balloons and treats, as did Knutsford Police with new PCSO Chris Pountain giving children a chance to sit in a police car and turn on the lights.
Knutsford Market Hall was a hive of activity, with The Market Café hosting breakfast with the Easter Bunny, face painting and mini photo shoots on offer with Tatton Photography.
The bunnies were dotted around the whole of the town, and event sponsor Julia Chard of Mr Simms, said: “Once again Knutsford's retailers and businesses came out in force to support our sixth Bunny Hop.
“It was lovely to see generations of families enjoying themselves, spotting bunnies and enjoying the day.”
All entries were entered into a draw, with prizes on offer including three pairs of tickets for the ‘Lazy Sunday’ session at Pub in the Park, a voucher from Lou Lou Bella Boutique, a sweet hamper from Mr Simms, a copy of Leo’s Ladder written and illustrated by Dee Griffiths and Ali Holah, a voucher from Giovanni’s and toys from Hal Whittaker.
The draw took place live on the Bunny Hop’s Facebook page today, Tuesday, April 23. The event returns next year on April 11.
