A 33-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in his torso last night.
At around 7.40pm yesterday, Monday, April 22, officers were called to College Street to reports that a man in his 30s had been stabbed in a "domestic incident".
He was taken to hospital for treatment to a wound to his torso, which police have described as non-life threatening.
Following enquiries, a 33-year-old woman from St Helens was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

She has been taken to a local police station for questioning.
An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
