YEAR 6 students at Davenham Primary School put on a ‘fantastic’ show at the village theatre, as they swapped Charles Avenue for the Serengeti.
The key stage two production of the Lion King saw four performances over two days on March 13 and 14.
Pupils enjoyed the full scale experience at Davenham Theatre, with musical numbers set to choreography, lighting and an array of props.
Tracy Manfredi, KS2 teacher at Davenham, said: “We are so lucky to have such a lovely theatre right on our doorstep. We would like to thank Davenham Players for allowing us to use their theatre to host the event and for all their assistance throughout.”
Teachers played a big part in putting the production together, while costumes were provided by children and parents.
Comberbach Primary School kindly lent large foam masks to add to the visual impact.
Tracy added: “The children’s performance was fantastic and it made us incredibly proud to watch them grow in confidence as the rehearsals and final performances progressed.”
