ONE of Warrington’s most popular pubs has gone up for sale.
The Friar Penketh, a Wetherspoon pub based in the town centre, is listed on the market with estate agents Savills.
As reported previously in the Warrington Guardian, the pub is one of 16 being put up for sale nationally by the budget pub chain.
Now the venue on Barbauld Street has gone on market – but the price, believed to be more than seven figures – is only available by application.

The listing states: “The Friar Penketh is located among a well-established drinking circuit with a number of other strong operators within immediate proximity.
"Time Square, the town’s new leisure district comprising a 13 screen cinema, restaurant units and a new 100,000 sq ft office building, is under construction close by.”
