LYMM Parish Council has appointed Cheshire Wildlife Trust to advise the Lymm Neighbourhood Plan Working Group on environment and wildlife.
The wildlife charity will produce a report which identifies areas with high environment value in the parish, to help shaping Lymm Neighbourhood Plan’s environment policies.
Cheshire Wildlife Trust promotes environment and wildlife conservation, and has already helped several communities to draft their neighbourhood plans.
Jonathan Foreman, chairman of the Lymm Neighbourhood Plan Working Group, said: “Through our consultations with local residents, we know that protecting the local environment is high on the list of priorities for the Lymm Neighbourhood Plan.

The plan can take up to three years to be put together, including public consultations and review. The process started in 2017 and once finished, it will be put to the residents in a referendum.
Anna Fradgley, chair of Lymm Parish Council, said: “It is important that the Lymm Neighbourhood Plan is based upon accurate and up to date information.
“Cheshire Wildlife Trust has access to a wide range of environmental information as well as detailed local knowledge.
“Their help will ensure we have robust planning policies in the Lymm Neighbourhood Plan that address Lymm’s priorities.”
