TWO teenagers have been charged after a robbery at town centre shop.

Both 16-year-old boys were arrested by police on Sunday, March 25, after an alleged crime spree over the weekend.

They have since been charged over two incidents - a robbery at a shop on Winwick Street on Saturday, March 24, and shoplifting at Golden Square Shopping Centre the following day.

One of the youths, from Manchester, has been charged with assault with intent to commit robbery, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and shoplifting.

The second teen, from Orford, has been charged with intent to commit robbery and shoplifting.

Both suspects are expected to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court later today, Tuesday, to face these charges.
