MORE than 100 tyres were involved in a large fire in the open in Clay Lane last night.
Fire crews from Winsford and Holmes Chapel were called to the scene at 7.15pm, to reports of a large uncontrolled fire.
On arrival, firefighters found that timber and more than 100 tyres made up the fire.
Firefighters used more than 15,000 litres to tackle the blaze, with the help of one 45 millimetre hose with hand controlled branch.
The team was at the scene for around three hours.
