A LIBRARY volunteer has been honoured for making a difference.
Shirley Lewis, who volunteers at the Rhymetime event at Sale Library, was presented with flowers by the owner of the Diddibox Florists in Sale.
The firm had asked for 10 nominations of people or companies that make a difference in people’s lives — and Shirley was nominated by one of the mums who attends Rhymetime with her little girl.
Shirley, aged 72, who lives in Sale, said: “I was delighted to receive the flowers — thank you so much to Diddibox. It was lovely to get the nomination from the little girl’s mum, I really enjoy working with the children.”
