EXPLORE your arty side at two creative workshops in Northwich this month.

Abda Café is hosting a life drawing workshop on Saturday, March 23 and a silver wax ring workshop on Thursday, March 28.

Phil Bower, owner of Northwich Art Shop, has organised the life drawing workshop, which will be led by classically trained local artist Matthew Corker, who studied at University College London’s esteemed Slade School of Fine Art.

Phil said: “In addition to developing his own artistic practice Matthew is also an art educator and teacher with years of experience, securing outstanding results for high school and further education students in art, photography, and graphic design subjects.

“Matt's style of teaching is inclusive and open to students either looking to start working with a real model or eager to develop their practice.”

During the ring making session, run by Anuka Jewellery, attendees will get to make a bespoke ring using the traditional technique of wax carving, which will then be transformed into solid silver.

Admission costs £35 for the life drawing session and £60 for the ring workshop. All materials will be provided. For more times, or to make a booking Abda Café’s Facebook page.
