STAFF at The Kinderton Hotel raised enough money to install a lifesaving defibrillator in Rainbow Days Nursery in Brooks Lane.
Laura Ellison, from the Kinderton Team, is delighted that they have been able to provide the nursery with life saving equipment.
Laura said: “We raised the funds at our bingo night on November 28. We raised £1,000.”
The decision to donate the defibrillator to Rainbows Day Nursery was taken by community hero, Linda Boden.
Laura said: “Linda has been working in Middlewich with SADS for years, fundraising for defibrillators in schools and businesses.
“She did not think there was enough in that part of the town so that’s why we donated this one to the nursery.”
Linda is a campaigner for SADS UK and for 12 years has been raising money for more defibrillators in Middlewich.
SADS UK raises awareness of Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome, which is a type of cardiac arrest, and funds research and medical equipment such as defibrillators.
All Rainbow's Nursery staff are trained in both Peadatric First Aid and have also received defibrillator training.
The defibrillator is for the use of the general public and can be accessed during the opening hours of 7.30am to 6pm each weekday, except bank holidays.
