A CUTE little dog is encouraging children to relax and read.
Norman, the therapy dog at Darnhall Primary School in Winsford, patiently sits in the classroom and loves pupils reading him stories.
Just one week on from World Book Day, children are still excited about dressing up in costumes from their favourite books.
Norman even sneaked a peep at some of the books.
Head teacher Sarah Tomlinson said: "Through the day we did 'stop, drop and read'. Staff and governors also read stores and recorded them. Clare Eaton recorded a video as Mrs Twit.
"Norman our school therapy dog joined in too."
Some pupils wore their PJs as they enjoyed listening to their favourite bedtime stories.
Imaginative youngsters were challenged to create a book on a plate in a competition.
Children enjoyed finding out about their favourite authors.
