Knutsford Ladies 4-1 Bebington Ladies
HEATHER Langford scored a hat-trick to inspire Knutsford to a victory that lifted them from the bottom of the table.
They were set on a course for only a second success of the campaign in the Cheshire Women's League's second division when captain Charlotte Chew converted from a penalty-corner.
Langord doubled the home team's tally before Bebington halved their arrears.
It did not deter Knutsford, and impressive defending from Katie Price, Amanda Rees, Georgia Allen – supported by goalkeeper Lucy White's fine saves – protected their narrow lead.
Langford found the net twice more before the finish to add gloss and her side swap places with their opponents in the standings as a result.
Knutsford conclude the campaign with a short trip to Macclesfield seconds on Saturday.
