TWO men have been charged with class A drug offences after a car was stopped and searched in Rudheath.

The two men, in their twenties, were involved in an early-morning vehicle stop in King Street.

A 29-year-old from Liverpool and 24-year-old from Stretford were arrested after a vehicle was pulled over on King Street in Rudheath around 1am on Thursday, March 7.

They have subsequently been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of class A – namely heroin and cocaine.

The 29-year-old has also been charged with possessing a controlled drug of class B, cannabis.

The pair appeared at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, March 9.

They were remanded in custody and are set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday, April 8.
