CHILDREN enjoyed a day of inspiration to celebrate their passion for reading.
Pupils at Wharton CE Primary School in Winsford dressed up as their favourite characters to bring books to life.
Every class took part in various book and reading activities to celebrate World Book Day.
English teacher Alison Wilson said: "We all have a lovely day. We made special book marks, swapped and read stories to other classes.
"Some children wrote poetry. We designed our own book covers and developed geography story maps.
"The day was all about promoting our love of reading and independent reading."
