MOBBERLEY is the destination of another Knutsford and District Amateur League title after the Bert Astles Memorial Pairs reached a conclusion last week.
Steve Flinders and Paul Adkin thwarted clubmates Tony Crompton and Gary Hammond by the odd frame at Wilmslow Cons to take first prize.
The semi-finals were fiercely-contested earlier.
Mere duo Richard Owen and Alec Wright took the first frame against Crompton and Hammond only for that lead to be overturned.
Meanwhile the eventual champions won both frames of their meeting with Brook Street duo Andy Long ad Steve Bond on the colours.
