A HUSBAND and wife team will be running the Tatton Park 10k this weekend to raise money for charity.

Ed and Liv Lowe, who live in Davenham with their two boys, aged seven and five, will take on the challenge on Sunday, March 10 in Knutsford.

Ed, 42, was recently diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinsons Disease, and the couple will be running to raise money for The Cure Parkinsons Trust.

On top of this, they will be aiming to raise awareness, addressing the misconception that Parkinsons is a condition that only affects older people.

In fact, NHS figures show that one in 20 people with the condition first experience symptoms when they’re under 40.

Ed is a keen sportsman and is a junior coach at Winnington Park Rugby Club.

Liv said: “We are not sure what lies ahead, but until a cure is found there is a lot which you can do, including keeping fit and doing regular exercise.

“It seems only right to raise funds by taking part in the Tatton 10k.”

Through the support of friends and family, the couple has raised more than £600.
