HOT on the heels of their recent production of Spamalot, the Mid Cheshire Musical Theatre Company is off on a new quest.
Heading from Camelot to Buenos Aires, the company is the first in the area to be given performing rights for Evita.
Following the turbulent life of Eva Peron, wife of Argentina president Juan Peron, Evita tells the story of a woman from humble beginnings, allying herself with the working classes to become a national icon.
The musical, created by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, has delighted audiences since 1978.
Now is your chance to be a part of the production, which is entirely sung, with no dialogue and plenty of chorus numbers.
The company needs outstanding principals and a large singing ensemble of all ages, as well as plenty of help backstage, front of house, and with costumes, makeup and more.
You can find out more at an event on Tuesday, March 12, at 8pm at the Lighthouse in Weaverham.
The production will be staged in September at Memorial Court. See Mid Cheshire Musical Theatre Company on Facebook or midcheshiremusicals.org.uk
