A MAN inspired to follow his dream of designing a clothing range after losing his partner has launched an online shop, in the hopes of encouraging others to be positive.

Ryan Stringer, 28, was living with his partner when she tragically died last June of a sudden diabetes-related hypo attack.

Despite his world turning ‘upside down’, Ryan threw himself into design work and has now made his dream a reality with the online store for his ‘Seek’ clothing brand going live last week.

“We were living in Lostock,” Ryan said. “I have got a daughter and she had a young daughter and we started a little family, and it was going really well.

“We always knew she had diabetes, but it came out of the blue. Ever since, my life has been upside down.

“I thought my life was sorted and we had it all in front of us, and it just came tumbling down.”

A graphic designer, Ryan had always held ambitions to launch a brand and

He said: “I have always had a creative side to me but nothing really stuck, and I never really found anything to really throw myself into.

“Over the months since my partner's death it became something to distract me from it all. I just thought ‘I will take the leap and set up my own store’.”

Ryan, a Christian, found inspiration for the brand’s name in reading the bible, and has devoted his spare time to working tirelessly in finding a supplier building a website to sell his new products.

“’Seek’ is me searching for my new life,” he said.

“That’s how I want it to feel. I don’t want to just be selling a t-shirt, I want people to understand the message.

“Bad things happen in life you can overcome it. You can seek out a new life for yourself.”

With the website up and running, the immediate ambition for Ryan is to spread the word of the new venture with a view to setting up a pop-up shop in Northwich in the coming months.

He said: “I believe in it – I really believe in myself and in the message I want to get out there.”
