A HARRY Potter fan convention which was scheduled to be held at Memorial Court, has been cancelled due to low ticket sales.
The event was scheduled to be held on March 2, and organised by Steve Howard, who also runs the Northwich Comic Con.
Steve said: “We’re very disappointed and obviously we have been open and honest in saying that it’s due to low ticket sales.
“We’re going to have a look at it and see what went wrong and what we can do differently if we try it again.”
Steve gave reassurances that the Comic Con event at Memorial Court on April 6 is selling well as usual and will definitely go ahead.
More Harry Potter exhibitions will be put into the Comic Con event to give it more of a ‘magical feel’ for any disappointed fans of the franchise.
Steve added: “Anyone who bought tickets for the Harry Potter event will obviously be given a full refund, but will also be offered complimentary tickets to Northwich Comic Con in April.”
