MP Antoinette Sandbach is campaigning for more money for Cheshire schools.
The Eddisbury MP questioned Education Secretary Damian Hinds in parliament earlier this month about the gap between funding for urban schools and those in rural areas.
She has signed a letter supporting a fairer funding settlement for local colleges.
The Winsford MP raised the matter of education funding again last week with Schools Minister Nick Gibb in a debate on school funding in Cheshire.
Antoinette Sandbach said:“Our schools and colleges are at the heart of building a prosperous, socially mobile society. They are key to boosting the prospects of our young people and delivering the skills our local businesses want.
“They often achieve outstanding results despite receiving lower funding than schools in London and elsewhere.
"This government has a good record on education with more than a million more children in good and outstanding schools. However these results could be even better if Cheshire saw the levels of funding that other parts of the country receive.”
