THREE thousand pounds in charity donations was handed over at a special presentation evening last week.
Soroptimist International of Northwich held the event at Weaver Hall Museum on February 12, to present cheques to five good causes.
St Luke’s Hospice and The Salvation Army each received £750, while £500 each was presented to The Joshua Tree, Macmillan Cancer Support and The Sepsis Trust.
During the evening, a representative from each charity gave an introduction and update, while Nora Dolphin from the Soroptimists oversaw proceedings.
Nora, chairman of marketing and communications for the club, thanked members for their contributions to the funds raised, and outlined how the efforts and presentation evening helped raise the profile of the charities.
The club celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.
