THROUGHOUT this year we will be dipping into the wedding albums of Warrington couples who have tied the knot and finding out more about the happiest day of their life.

HAPPY couple Caroline, aged 36, and Gareth Moss, aged 35, said they had wanted to get married for years but waited to be able to provide a family home first.

The love birds, who live on Poplars Avenue, met when they were both out with friends and got engaged after being a couple for six years.

Caroline added: "When I first met Gareth I thought he was really cheeky but in a funny way and a gentleman.

"He treated me very different than any over man had previously."

Gareth added: "I thought she had nice eyes, a cracking smile and a great personality."

The pair got engaged in York in 2012 after Gareth took Caroline for a walk to a little water fountain before getting down on one knee.

Warrington Guardian:

Caroline added: "It was a surprise since we had been together since 2003 and I thought he was against getting married."

The wedding took place in November last year at Leasowe Castle in Wirral with 100 people joining for them for the day and 160 in the evening.

Family and friends tucked into vegetable soup, a lamb dinner and chocolate torte for dessert before their two children performed for them.

Warrington Guardian:

The couple said their big day was 'stressful at first and busy' but turned out to be a perfect day with family and friends.

Caroline added: "We laughed more than ever that day and my amazing talented kids sang for us both.

"That was one of my favourite memories of the day as well as the speeches, the first dance and the father daughter dance but the whole day was amazing."

Warrington Guardian:

And their celebrations continued after their wedding day after they found out a surprise honeymoon to Tenerife had been booked for them with Gareth's parents paying for the honeymoon and Caroline's parents giving them the spending money.

The newly weds say their relationship works as they both have strong family values and are both very caring and hard working people.

Warrington Guardian:

Caroline added: "However in other ways we can be very different and that’s why we go so well together.

"We love each over very much and we are always there for each.

"We have had some hard times and we got each other through them.

"We have amazing memories and will make many more and the most amazing beautiful children together.

"We wanted to get married for years but we wanted to provide a family home first.

"And when one of our grandads got sick we pushed the wedding as we wanted all of our three grandads to be there (my two grandads and one of Gareth’s), unfortunately although they were all alive when we booked the wedding 18 months earlier, all three of them passed away before our special day.

"The day was still amazing thanks to our family and friends, especially our children.

"There’s nothing we wouldn’t do to make each other happy."
