HOMES and businesses were left without water in Upton and Woodchurch this afternoon.
United Utilities confirmed the issue at addresses within the CH49 area at 12.45pm today (Thursday, February 21) after works carried out on Saughall Massie Road caused more properties to be cut off than planned.
Engineers were called out to the scene and completed the work at around 3pm.
However it may take around two hours for the water pressure to return back to normal.
A message on United Utilities website reads: "Our inspector has advised that works are being carried out on Saughall Massie Road in Wirral, due to issues with the valves, more properties have been shut off then what was planned.
"We’re sorry if this has affected you and thank you for your patience.
"Because there’s been some disturbance to the pipes in your area you may notice the water is a little cloudy or discoloured, please check our Discoloured Water page for more information."
We're aware that some of our customers may have no water or poor pressure in #CH49 #Wirral. We're sorry for the disruption this may be causing & we'll update our website when our engineer has investigated this. Updates https://t.co/iaWN8te80f
