A MAN is believed to have stolen a handbag from a porch in Penketh and then used the debit card in shops around Widnes and Warrington.

Between 6pm and 7pm on Tuesday, February 12 a man is believed to have entered an enclosed porch at an address on Park Road and stolen a handbag.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak.

The suspect is described as being between 5"10 and 6ft, of a medium build and believed to be in his early 20s.

PC Andrew Dolan, of Warrington local policing unit, said: “If you think you recognise this man in the CCTV image or you believe you know who he might be, please get in touch with us.

“I would also like to appeal directly to this man to come forward as we think he may have information which could help with our investigation.”
