TOFT face one of the toughest fixtures in the Cheshire County League calendar when they meet Chester Boughton Hall on a new season’s opening day.

The Knutsford outfit, who will again be led by captain Jimmy Lomas, head to the Premier Division runners-up from last term on Saturday, April 20.

A home game follows seven days later when Oulton Park visit.

Clashes with Hyde, promoted as Division One champions, and Cheadle complete the first month.

Nantwich, the defending champions, arrive at Booth’s Park on May 18 while June includes visits to Timperley, third in last summer, and Alderley Edge.

Chester make the return trip on July 6 and a second meeting with the Dabbers is scheduled for August 3.

Meanwhile Grappenhall will provide the opposition in the top-flight’s final round on September 14.

Toft finished fifth last summer after winning more matches, and amassing a higher points total, than they did in 2017 despite classifying fourth that year.

Early exits from both the Cheshire Cup and the Joseph Holt Brewery T20 were disappointing and they will be keen to improve their form in knockout competitions this time around.

A group-stage draw for the latter pits them against Bollington, Congleton and Macclesfield.

They start at Congleton on May 16.
